About my MONTANA SOUL photo art

As a sixth generation Montanan, my appreciation for the wide-open spaces, rugged wilderness, and quiet strength of Montana’s Big Sky Country runs deep. This land has shaped who I am. The weathered fence lines, endless skies, rolling plains, and mountain backdrops tell stories of resilience, grit, and grace, and preserving that way of life feels more important than ever. As a photographer, I am drawn to documenting these places and people with intention, creating imagery that evokes emotion and speaks to the soul. My style is authentic and western, rustic and raw, dreamy yet deeply rooted, inspired by the land itself and the timeless rhythm of life lived close to it.

My love for photography comes from a deep desire to preserve real connection. Connection to the land, to heritage, and to the fleeting moments that define our lives here in Montana. I have always had an eye for the quiet beauty that often goes unnoticed, and through my work, I aim to slow time just enough to honor it. These images are not just photographs. They are visual stories meant to reflect the heart of The West and the spirit of those who call it home.

That passion is poured into my fine art photography series I call, MONTANA SOUL. These pieces, often mistaken for paintings, are my way of translating the feeling of Big Sky Country into art. My work has been featured during Western Art Week, the largest gathering of western artists in the United States, where I cherish the opportunity to display my work alongside my father's art, continuing a family legacy rooted in creativity and craftsmanship. Coming from a long line of artists, it feels natural to share space where our work speaks to one another.

Over the years, my art has been published across the country, displayed in galleries, featured in the Big Sky Arts Council’s Auction for the Arts, and shared with Montana shops and collectors who value meaningful, soulful work. I am also honored to donate my art to support causes close to my heart and to the community that has given me so much. My hope is that anyone who encounters my work feels a deep, soulful connection to God’s country and the Western way of life it represents.
